COMIC MARLON WAYANS FILES COUNTERSUIT AGAINST CLEVELAND BROWN LOOKALIKE. By Mass Appeal News
LOS ANGELES — Funnyman Marlon Wayans posted a comparison and contrast image on Instagram, calling one of his low rent actors a “nigga” and Cleveland Brown lookalike. Now he’s going to court. Pierre Daniel, who appeared as an extra in the spoof “A Haunted House 2,” filed a lawsuit accusing Marlon of using a racial slur. Pierre is also upset at Marlon for saying he’s a spitting-image of the portly cartoon character Cleveland Brown.
Marlon, who recently filed a countersuit of his own, said he meant no harm when using the derogatory term.
As a matter of fact, he grew up in the projects of New York City where the N-word was routinely spewed as both a term of endearment and colloquial idiom of camaraderie. Marlon even calls white people the N-word. “Mr. Wayans has addressed me as nigga in the past and frequently uses it as a term of endearment with his friends and family,” said Haunted House 2 co-star Jaime Pressly in her declaration.
Jaime, by the way, is a 37-year-old white woman.
